NLPC, a shareholder in Exxon Mobil Corporation, is calling for investors in the company to vote against Lawrence “Larry” Kellner for the board of directors. Kellner is on his way out as Chairman of The Boeing Company, whose safety and quality problems this year have resulted in unrelenting bad headlines.
NLPC has filed a lengthy proxy memo with the Securities and Exchange Commission that lays out its rationale for Exxon shareholders as to why Kellner should not be re-elected to the board. We also have our own shareholder proposals at Exxon, as well as at Boeing, which we will present at their respective annual meetings in the coming weeks.
