This article by Joe Schoffstall appears on the Washington Free Beacon website:

Democratic representative Ilhan Omar (D., Minn.) continues to push cash from her campaign committee to her now-husband’s consulting firm.

Omar’s new committee filings, posted Wednesday afternoon, show that during the first three months of the year, the campaign paid $292,905 to the E Street Group. E Street is a political consulting firm owned by Omar’s husband, Tim Mynett. The cash, which reportedly went toward an array of services that included fundraising and advertisements, accounted for over 40 percent of the campaign’s $674,892 in disbursements. Omar raised $456,374 during the quarter.

Omar’s campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The Omar campaign also doled out $525,000 last year to Mynett’s firm, its top vendor. At the time, Omar and Mynett were married to different people, but Mynett’s wife alleged they were having an … Read More ➡

Rep. Omar’s Marriage Raises Questions About Campaign Money Flows

After denying for months that she and political consultant Tim Mynett were having an affair, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) announced via Instagram that the two have married.

Mynett’s firm, known as the E Street Group, LLC, has been the recipient of an increasing share of Omar’s campaign spending. In the fourth quarter of 2019, Mynett’s firm received more than half of Omar’s campaign spending, after receiving more than a third in the prior quarter.

In the third quarter of 2019, Mynett’s firm received $146,713. In the fourth quarter it received $217,000.

In a Complaint to the Federal Election Commission on August 28, 2019, National Legal and Policy Center (NLPC) alleged that Omar made personal use of campaign funds by reimbursing Mynett’s expenses while he traveled around the country with her.

According to the Complaint, “It appears that Respondent Mynett’s travel as reported by Ilhan for Congress may have been unrelated, … Read More ➡

Rep. Ilhan Omar’s Boyfriend Still Gets Bulk of Campaign Funds

From the Daily Caller by Andrew Kerr:

Mynett and Omar

Over half of Democratic Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar’s campaign expenditures in the last quarter of 2019 went to her alleged boyfriend’s consulting firm, according to Federal Election Commission filings released Friday.

Omar’s campaign paid $217,000 to E Street Group LLC between Oct. 1 and Dec. 31 for research services, digital advertising, fundraising consulting, travel and more, filings show. The firm is run by Democratic consultant Tim Mynett, who was accused by his ex-wife in August of having an affair with Omar.

The fourth-quarter spending figures represent yet another significant uptick in the level of campaign funds Omar has dedicated to Mynett’s firm.

In the third quarter of 2019, Omar disbursed about $146,713 to E Street Group, and in the 10-month period prior, from August 2018 to June 2019, her total spending with the firm was $223,000.

Rep. Ilhan Omar Continues to Break Law on Boyfriend’s Travel

Mynett and Omar

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) continues to violate Federal Election Commission (FEC) regulations governing travel by her campaign staff. As detailed in an amendment to our August 28, 2019 FEC Complaint, Omar failed to itemize travel expenses to E Street Group, a firm owned by her boyfriend Tim Mynett in her FEC disclosure reports for the third quarter of 2019.

The amendment charges, “Respondents either continue to willfully disregard the law, or misunderstand it.” From the amendment:

On October 12, 2019, Ilhan Omar for Congress filed FEC Form 3, Report of Receipts and Disbursements for the period covering July 1, 2019 through September 30, 2019. The filing reports Total Operating Expenditures of $441,638.95. Of that amount, disbursements totaling $146,712.64 were reported on Schedule B to E Street Group, LLC, owned by Tim Mynett.

Disbursements to E Street Group, LLC totaled more than a third of total disbursements and

YouTube Demonetizes Video About Ilhan Omar FEC Complaint

According to a YouTuber known as Viva Frei, his video explaining our Complaint filed Wednesday has been demonetized. We have had no contact with him, and until now, had never heard of him. He has 108,000 subscribers to his channel and the Omar video has almost 15,000 views.

Viva Frei actually does a pretty good job breaking down the Complaint. In fact, his analysis is painstakingly neutral and compares favorably to some of the reports in the regular media. Viva Frei states in the comment section of his video:

So this video was demonetized off the bat – when it was unlisted with 3 views. I requested a manual review, and after review the video was remonetized. 8,500 views later, it was suddenly demonetized yet again. This is absurd… Could everyone tweet this video at YouTube and their team? It’s been absurd for a while. Now it’s just getting ridiculous.
