The Soros Threat…
Billionaire George Soros has funded several separate entities known as the Open Society Foundations (OSF). That name is Orwellian, however, because OSF is bankrolling an international assault on the hallmarks of open societies, such as free speech.
In the United States, there are few corners of the public square not touched by Soros’ spending, from the election of local prosecutors who believe that criminals are victims, to most recently, the spate of ugly demonstrations targeting Elon Musk and Tesla automobiles.
Twenty-three billion has already been spent. OSF have assets of $25 billion more.
In his nineties, Soros has handed off leadership of his foundations to his son, Alex, who says that he is “much more political” than his father. And, on June 14, 2025, Alex married Huma Abedin, Hillary Clinton’s top political aide and enforcer.
This is a recipe for nonstop division and agitation.
Ambition, Like Love, is Blind: Huma Abedin to Wed Alex Soros
by Carl Horowitz
Two years ago Alexander “Alex” Soros gained control over the Open Society Foundations, succeeding his hedge fund multibillionaire father George Soros as chairman of the $25 billion New York City-based far-Left philanthropy. He’s now about to become the lucky husband of Huma Abedin, who through her longtime working relationship with
Hillary Clinton, has emerged as a minor power broker within the Democratic Party. With Alex by her side, she could be a major one. As the younger Soros describes himself as “more political” than his father, this match in heaven could redefine electoral politics – for the worse.
How Soros Created & Underwrote the Illegal Immigration Crisis
by Carl F. Horowitz
Arguably the main achievement of the Biden era, if unintended, was putting the dangers of mass immigration, especially the illegal kind, on full display. There were 10.8 million border encounters during those four years, about 2 million of which resulted in migrants (“gotaways”) disappearing into the nation’s interior.
Sovereignty, rule of law, public safety and fiscal solvency were badly compromised. The Biden administration radicals did more than let this happen. They made it happen, going so far as to fly in hundreds of thousands of migrants under cover of the “parole” program.
May Day: More Anti-Trump Protests by Soros-Funded Groups
by Peter Flaherty
Today is May Day, the international Left’s day of solidarity. What better day, then, for nationwide demonstrations against President Trump and his policies?
Something called 50501 is coordinating a score of “grassroots” events around the country. 50501 is shorthand for “50 protests. 50 states. 1 Movement.”
An apparently overlapping coalition called May Day Strong is promoting May Day National Day of Action. 50501 is identified by May Day National Day of Action as a member of “Our Coalition,” which includes groups like Indivisible and MoveOn that are bankrolled by the Open Society Foundations, funded by George Soros.
The Tides Center: George Soros’ Favorite Money Handler?
by Carl F. Horowitz
Of the innumerable far-Left organizations funded by the Open Society Foundations (OSF), few are as potent as the Tides Center, also known simply as Tides. Established almost 50 years ago, the San Francisco-based, 501(c)(3) nonprofit is a philanthropy behemoth. During this century it has snagged seven- and eight-figure donations from such well-endowed sources as the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, the David and Lucile Packard Foundation, the California Endowment, and the Union Square Foundation. And it just may be hitting full stride.
George Soros’ Open Society Foundations figures in this heavily. An investigation published in the New York Post in October 2023 found that OSF provided $13.7 million to Tides during 2016-22. Earlier, during 2007-09, it had donated a combined $3.5 million.
How does one explain such prodigious donations? The answer lies partly in the common goal held by Tides mega-donors and officials – a centrally-managed, global supra-nation in which “social justice” takes precedence over liberty, and in which a manipulative, quasi-religious “compassion” permeates politics, economy and culture.
Soros-Funded Groups Target Trump, Musk, and Tesla
by Carl F. Horowitz
Of the many Leftist nonprofit groups funded by multibillionaire George Soros’ philanthropy, the Open Society Foundations, Indivisible.org (or simply Indivisible), is walking especially tall. Presumably inspired by the Pledge of Allegiance phrase, “indivisible, with liberty and justice for all,” Indivisible believes these words shouldn’t apply to car manufacturer Tesla insofar as Elon Musk runs it. And until he leaves, the group is sparing no effort to drive the company out of business.
On March 29, Indivisible and an ad hoc group, Tesla Takedown, coordinated hundreds of demonstrations near Tesla dealerships across the U.S., Canada and Europe.
The purpose of this “global day of action” was to wreck the Tesla brand name. Protestors, many holding placards, appealed to Tesla owners to sell their vehicles and to Tesla shareholders to sell their stock. Roughly 750 persons swarmed a Tesla dealership in Rockville, Md. near Washington, D.C., eager to register their disapproval of President Trump’s canceling of federal agencies based on Musk’s recommendations. In Boston, hundreds of demonstrators endured the rain for the same purpose.

Soros’ Open Society Does Not Include Free Speech
by Carl F. Horowitz
Among paymasters of Leftist global activism, George Soros still stands out. With his nemesis Donald Trump now again president, the Hungarian-born hedge fund multibillionaire, now 94, has every incentive to continue funding organizations dedicated to erasing national identities under the guise of “diversity,” “equality” and “human rights.” Though he handed over the chairmanship of his New York-based philanthropy, the Open Society Foundations, to son Alexander in 2023, he remains in the picture, advancing multiculturalism over the liberty he claims to espouse.
National Legal and Policy Center has played a role in opposing Soros’s philanthropy empire. In May 2023, NLPC filed a complaint with the IRS against two U.S.-based groups, Disinformation Index Inc. and a sister organization, the Disinformation Index Foundation, recently rebranded as the AN Foundation. Each is a component of a London-based nonprofit, Global Disinformation Index (GDI) . The complaint details a multitude of blatant violations of IRS disclosure rules regarding the U.S. groups’ Form 990 annual disclosure reports over several years. Violations include failing to disclose funding sources,
