Google & YouTube Censor Tulsi Gabbard, Too

It turns out that not just conservatives can expect censorship of their content and advertisements by dominant search and web advertisement service Google, and by the equally powerful video site it owns, YouTube.

It turns out also that if you are a Democrat who fails to fully adhere to the orthodox progressive agenda, then you too will find your Internet voice muted.

Such is the case with Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, who also is a 2020 presidential candidate.

The congresswoman from Hawaii, an Iraq War veteran who still serves as a Major in the Army National Guard, has sued Google for $50 million over the suspension of her campaign account during the first presidential debate, while she became a hot topic for Internet searches. YouTube Demonetizes Video About Ilhan Omar FEC Complaint


According to a YouTuber known as Viva Frei, his video explaining our Complaint filed Wednesday has been demonetized. We have had no contact with him, and until now, had never heard of him. He has 108,000 subscribers to his channel and the Omar video has almost 15,000 views.

Viva Frei actually does a pretty good job breaking down the Complaint. In fact, his analysis is painstakingly neutral and compares favorably to some of the reports in the regular media. Viva Frei states in the comment section of his video:

So this video was demonetized off the bat – when it was unlisted with 3 views. I requested a manual review, and after review the video was remonetized. 8,500 views later, it was suddenly demonetized yet again. This is absurd… Could everyone tweet this video at YouTube and their team? It’s been absurd for a while. Now it’s just getting ridiculous.

Censorship of Conservatives Out of Control at Twitter, Facebook, YouTube

By now the complaints are voluminous and widely known, but it’s become clear that popular social media Web sites YouTube (a Google subsidiary), Twitter and Facebook do not intend to end censorship of conservatives’ messaging and content on their platforms.

The highest profile example from this week is Twitter’s block of an ad by Rep. Marsha Blackburn, a Tennessee Republican, who announced her campaign to run for the Senate seat currently held by retiring Bob Corker. The nearly 3-minute video highlighted Blackburn’s conservative credentials, including the claim that she’s “100 percent pro-life.”

“I fought Planned Parenthood and we stopped the sale of baby body parts, thank God,” Blackburn says in the video advertisement.

That factual statement was too much for Twitter’s censors, who according to Blackburn, told her the reference to fetal tissue was “deemed an inflammatory statement that is likely to evoke a … Read More ➡

educational video project in 2009 that was named for him, he probably couldn’t have imagined that the widely utilized delivery platform he employed – YouTube – would be the biggest hindrance to reaching his audience.

But in 2016 we are in a hotly contested election year, and the parent company of the popular and diverse service is deeply embedded in the Clinton campaign. That may or may not be why some of the increasingly popular videos produced by Prager University have been restricted by the subsidiary of unabashedly liberal-leaning Google. But if it isn’t, the obstruction is at minimum a byproduct of the intolerant Left’s incessant wailing against anything that touches race relations, gender, homosexuality, abortion, religious absolutes, or Islam.

American Universities Urged to Divest From China

In another broadside against the People’s Republic of China, a top official in President Trump’s State Department last month urged American universities to divest their endowments from Chinese-owned corporations; to closely monitor or shut down on-campus activities that promote Chinese propaganda; and to protect research centers from Chinese theft of intellectual property.

This followed the President’s attacks on the Chinese communists for releasing and then covering up the threat from the Wuhan coronavirus. Also his trade war, with huge tariffs on China’s exporters, has caused the Far East nation great pain.

And regarding investments, a special working group of the administration’s top financial regulators, led by Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin, recommended the Securities and Exchange Commission impose stronger transparency rules for foreign companies that are listed on American exchanges. Chinese Companies Get Scrutiny— But Not From BlackRock

Pressure continues to increase on Chinese corporations that are listed on American stock exchanges, to provide greater transparency about their ownership and operations.

Following the U.S. Senate’s passage (by unanimous consent) in May of the Holding Foreign Companies Accountable Act, a special panel of top government financial regulators issued a report last week that also called for tougher rules in order for “non-cooperative” foreign companies to be allowed to be listed in the United States. The goal is to provide greater protection for investors in those companies, to meet minimal audit and transparency standards so that potential risks are better understood.

The President’s Working Group on Financial Markets specifically scrutinized the risks to investors posed by the Chinese government’s failure to allow access to the books of companies listed in the U.S.  The group urged the Securities and Exchange Commission take steps to strengthen the listing standards.… Read More ➡

NBC Asked to Correct Fake Account of Trump Reaction to Shooting

Today, the National Legal and Policy Center called upon NBC News and its White House Correspondent Kristen Welker to correct a blatantly false account of President Trump’s reaction yesterday at his press conference following the shooting that occurred near the White House, where he was escorted from the podium by Secret Service to the Oval Office.

When he returned several minutes later to the podium, there was a flurry of questions by the reporters as to what had occurred, whether he was escorted to the secure bunker in the White House, and other questions about the incident to which the president calmly responded with the basic information that was known to him.

One of the reporters, Kristen Welker, White House Correspondent for NBC News asked the following question at the 6:57 minute mark of the press conference:

New York Sweeps Schumer Bar Complaint Under the Rug; Appeal Filed

Today, the National Legal and Policy Center (NLPC) appealed the dismissal of its ethics complaint filed with New York’s Attorney Grievance Committee (AGC) against U.S. Senator Charles E. Schumer for his threatening comments made in March on the Supreme Court steps before a cheering activist crowd against Justices Neal Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh during the hearing on a controversial abortion case:

I want to tell you, Gorsuch… I want to tell you, Kavanaugh… you have released the whirlwind, and you will pay the price. You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.

Senator Schumer’s remarks drew a public rebuke from Chief Justice John Roberts, the legal community, including the American Bar Association, and many Members of Congress, led by Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, noting that such threats are “dangerous.”
