From the New York Post, by Gabrielle Fahmy:
Far-left “Squad” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) — who once boasted about doing her own makeup in an Instagram tutorial — shelled out more than $2,000 last fall to a celebrity makeup artist whose clients include Bad Bunny and Bella Hadid.
On Nov. 5, her campaign reported paying New York and Los Angeles-based The Only Agency $670 for “campaign event makeup services,” then another $693.08, and $665 five days later for “campaign event hair and makeup services,” Federal Election Commission records show.

But it’s not the first time getting glammed up landed AOC in the headlines.
The House Ethics Committee found she violated gift rules by accepting similarly pricey hair and makeup services during her infamous Met Gala attendance in 2021.
The Met Gala ethics rules violation involved hair and makeup expenses – on top of the discount on the infamous dress.
Then, she got her makeup done for $344.85 and her hair for $477.73, charges initially billed to Conde Nast, who puts on the gala.
AOC only ended up paying with her own money after the Office of Congressional Conduct filed a complaint.
“It’s outrageous that AOC spends over $600 for makeup and $600 for hair styling by misusing campaign contributions,” said Paul Kamenar, counsel to the National Legal and Policy Center, whose complaint prompted the House Ethics report.
