Credible evidence, including marriage licenses and DNA records, points to Omar illegally marrying her brother, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, in 2009 to commit immigration fraud and secure his U.S. residency. As we’ve detailed on our site, media investigations by journalists like New York Post’s Miranda Devine have highlighted how the FBI probed these claims in 2019 and 2020 but inexplicably dropped the ball, with no action from the DOJ. Devine has reported on DNA evidence suggesting a sibling match and the FBI’s avoidance of a full inquiry, noting there’s no statute of limitations for such fraud. More recently, commentator Steven Crowder obtained marital records that further confirm these ties, labeling it outright immigration fraud.
