Fox News host Jesse Watters highlighted a bombshell ethics complaint last night on Jesse Watters Primetime, exposing how Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) allegedly misused nearly $19,000 in campaign donations for personal psychiatric services.
The National Legal and Policy Center (NLPC) filed the joint complaint on March 27, 2026, with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) and the Office of Congressional Conduct. It alleges that Ocasio-Cortez’s campaign committee made three payments in 2025 to Boston-based psychiatrist Dr. Brian W. Boyle—totaling $18,725—for services listed as “leadership training and consulting.” According to the complaint, Boyle specializes in ketamine therapy for depression, PTSD, and anxiety, not political consulting, and the payments were actually for personal psychiatric care for Ocasio-Cortez or her staff.
NLPC Counsel Paul Kamenar, who drafted the complaint, stated: “This is not a legitimate campaign expense. If Representative Ocasio-Cortez needs psychiatric care, she should pay for it with her own money—not with donations from supporters who thought they were contributing to her political campaign.” He added that AOC “could also face federal criminal charges for filing false or misleading FEC reports.”
Federal election law and House ethics rules prohibit using campaign funds for personal expenses, requiring all spending to serve a bona fide campaign or political purpose. The NLPC is calling for a full investigation and appropriate penalties against Ocasio-Cortez, her campaign, and its treasurer.
