Cleric Behind Target Boycott Slams ‘Negro Preachers’ for Honoring ‘White Supremacist’ Charlie Kirk

Jamal Bryant (pictured above), a cleric in Atlanta who gained a bunch of attention earlier this year for organizing a boycott against Target Corporation over its alleged rollbacks of diversity, equity and inclusion policies, over the weekend criticized black ministers who honored the memory of the assassinated Charlie Kirk in their Sunday messaging. An excerpt of his remarks from evangelical watchdog site Protestia:

My heart is mourning today from pastors and churches all over this country who are gonna have moments of silence and celebrate somebody who is trying to take the nation backwards.

But God help me in here, I’m concerned about all of these Negro preachers who’ve been in fact talking about that this man that was killed was the answer to Christ in the earth.

Y’all ain’t saying nothing! They having moments of silence in black churches all over the country over a man that was racist and a white supremacist.

How dare you compare him to Martin Luther King! The only thing that Charlie Kirk and Martin Luther King got in common is both of them was killed by a white man. After that, they got nothing else in common.

Bryant is the latest in a long line of race hustlers in the style of Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton — the latter who also sought to extract concessions out of Target over its alleged DEI retreat.

Minneapolis-based Target has been caught in the culture wars crossfire ever since Chairman/CEO Brian Cornell allowed transgender apparel including “tuck-friendly” swimsuits to be marketed at the front of its stores. Following resistance from conservatives, families, and other normal people, and President Trump’s ending of DEI in the federal government, Target announced it would roll back its own programs. That’s when Jamal Bryant entered the picture.

Activists like Bryant are fertilized by the favorable attention they get from mainstream media, which comes with little or no scrutiny of their funding, personal conduct, preaching, or other activities. Here’s some further enlightenment about Bryant’s history and beliefs from Protestia, who helpfully supplied links to back up their claims with evidence:

Jamal Bryant is a political ideologue who cosplays as a Senior pastor every Sunday morning at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, which is an ironic name for a church that is pro-abortion and preaches the twisted false gospel of Liberation theology.

A left-wing goat of a pastor and alleged serial adulterer who was run out of his previous church because he could not keep his hands to himself, Bryant is known for his leftist political antics. When Roe v. Wade was recently overturned by the Supreme court, Bryant decried the decision to allow states to restrict abortion as “racist” in a baby dedication Sunday sermon. Two years ago he said he wanted to grow cannabis on his church property so that black males can farm it, using it as an evangelistic tool and as a way to teach them a skill, and then last year at an installation service for Bishop Marvin Sapp as Senior Pastor of The Chosen Vessel Cathedral, Bryant says that Jesus was ‘wrong’ and out of order for the vast majority of his life.

Undoubtedly many inspired by Bryant to join his Target boycott (and buy T-shirts he sells) would have appreciated knowing some of these facts about him. And while the legacy media has been eager to report about his DEI advocacy at the retail giant, we haven’t heard a peep from them about what he said about minority ministers’ honoring of Charlie Kirk.

As for Target, the company tried to buy off his church’s denomination, the National Baptist Convention, for $300,000. Bryant didn’t care for that at all:

“You thought you were going to go around me and go to the National Baptist Convention and sell out for $300,000?” Bryant declared during his Sunday sermon (two months ago). “Are you crazy to think that we gonna’ sell out for chump change? You must not know who we are!”

Normal people ought not to care what characters like Bryant think of the widely admired Charlie Kirk. What is disgusting is that companies like Target capitulate so easily to his demands.
