Business Manager of New Jersey Painters Union Sentenced

On October 25, Patrick James Brennan, former business manager and secretary-treasurer of International Union of Painters and Allied Trades District Council 711, was sentenced in U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey to six months in prison and six months of home confinement for embezzlement from the Egg Harbor Township (near Atlantic City) union. He also will have to make restitution in the amount of $32,487.26. The sentencing follows an investigation by the Labor Department’s Office of Labor-Management Standards.
