AFGE President in South Dakota Indicted for False Record-Keeping, Theft

AFGE logoOn October 23, Melody Wouden, former president of American Federation of Government Employees Local 2342, was indicted in U.S. District Court for the District of South Dakota with entering a false statement in union records to conceal theft in an amount less than $1,000 from the Ft. Meade, S.D.-based union. The charge follows a probe by the Labor Department's Office of Labor-Management Standards.
