Oklahoma Letter Carriers President Charged; Pleads Guilty, Sentenced

On March 25, Robert Ramirez, former president of National Association of Letter Carriers Branch 973, was charged in Canadian County Court, Oklahoma with 17 counts of uttering a forged instrument from the El Reno-based union. He then pled guilty and was sentenced to 60 days in jail. The actions follow a probe by the Labor Department's Office of Labor-Management Standards.
