Kentucky Steelworkers Local Employee Pleads Guilty to Theft

On October 2, Ray Horton, former employee of United Steelworkers of America Local 9443 in Robards, Ky., pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky to mail fraud and embezzlement of union funds in the amount of $19,924. He had been charged in July. The guilty plea follows an investigation by the U.S. Labor Department's Office of Labor-Management Standards.
