Treasurer of Cincinnati Hotel and Restaurant Employees Local Pleads Guilty

On August 27, Terry Hacker, former secretary-treasurer of Hotel Employees and Restaurant Employees (part of UNITE HERE) Local 12 in Cincinnati, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio to one count of embezzling union funds in the amount of $38,146. The plea follows an investigation by the U.S. Labor Department's Office of Labor-Management Standards.
