Postal Workers Secretary in Ohio Sentenced for Embezzlement

Postal Workers logoOn June 4, Edward Kozusko, former treasurer of American Postal Workers Union Local 443, was sentenced in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio to one week of confinement and three years of supervised release, the first eight months which would include supervised home confinement, for embezzlement from the Youngstown union. He also was ordered to pay full restitution in the amount of $12,613.20 and a $6,000 fine. Kozusko, who had been charged in March, pleaded guilty several days later in that month. The sentencing follows a probe by the Labor Department's Office of Labor-Management Standards.

Postal Workers Treasurer in NE Ohio Pleads Guilty to Embezzlement

APWU logoOn March 21, Edward Kozusko, former treasurer of American Postal Workers Union Local 443, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio to embezzling $12,613.20 in funds from the Youngstown union. He had been charged eight days earlier on March 13. The charge follows an investigation by the U.S. Labor Department's Office of Labor-Management Standards.
