Laborers District Council Organizer in Kentucky Sentenced

Laborers logoOn November 16, David Lee Tungett, former organizer for Laborers International Union of North America, Kentucky District Council, was sentenced in U.S. District Council for the Western District of Kentucky to two years probation for one count of destruction of records belonging to the Lawrenceburg, Ky. union. He also was ordered to attend a drug rehab program, and pay a $250 fine and a $25 special assessment. The sentencing follows an investigation by the U.S. Labor Department's Office of Labor-Management Standards.

Kentucky Laborers District Council Organizer Pleads Guilty

Laborers logoOn August 18, David Lee Tungett, former organizer for Laborers International Union of North America, Kentucky District Council, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky to one count of destruction of union records. He had been charged the previous week. The actions come in the wake of the probe by the U.S. Labor Department's Office of Labor-Management Standards. The council is located in Lawrenceburg, not far from Frankfurt.
