Sharpton Washington March Offers Preview of Political Intimidation

When it comes to organizing rallies on short notice, Al Sharpton has few peers. The ability of Reverend Al to generate a crowd through his New York City-based nonprofit National Action Network (NAN) was in evidence last Saturday morning, January 14, in the nation’s capital. Billed as the “We Shall Not Be Moved March on Washington,” the rain-soaked event (see photo) drew thousands of participants, overwhelmingly black, many of whom arrived by chartered bus. The stated purpose of this grievance convention, timed for Martin Luther King Day and the Donald Trump inauguration, was to pressure Congress into resisting the new administration. Accordingly, the march offered a platform for ritual denunciations of enemies of blacks, Hispanics, gays and other “disenfranchised” groups, and calls for new laws to protect their members. If lawmakers are smart, they’ll take a pass.

Jury Convicts Thug of Shooting Two Cops at Protest; Obama Justice Department Enabled Attack

barack-obama-eric-holder-loretta-lynchThe violence may be a memory, but there is now a welcome reminder of the consequences. Last Thursday, December 8, a St. Louis County, Mo. jury found a young black male, Jeffrey Williams, guilty on six criminal counts related to the malicious gun wounding of two unnamed police officers in the St. Louis suburb of Ferguson in March 2015. The incident occurred during a street rally organized by the radical social media network, Black Lives Matter, to protest the shooting death of an “unarmed” black male, Michael Brown, by a white Ferguson cop the previous August. A grand jury months later had decided the evidence was insufficient to indict the officer, an announcement that triggered destructive rioting. Reprehensible as the rioting and shootings were, the Obama administration tacitly encouraged this behavior.

If any one event underscores the futility of achieving a ‘post-racial’ society in contemporary America, the death of Michael …

‘Civil Rights’ Activists, DOJ Distort Reality in Death of Georgia Black Teen

al-sharpton-and-benjamin-crumpRailroading innocent persons into prison, or extracting outsized settlements from them, is now a defining feature of civil rights activism. The possibility of such an outcome explains why Kendrick Johnson, a Valdosta, Georgia black teen who died in a freak accident at his high school nearly three years ago, has become a rallying symbol for “anti-racist” activists. Johnson isn’t as familiar as the late Trayvon Martin or Michael Brown. But give it some time. From the start, the Johnson family and supporters have insisted, without evidence, that he was the victim of a racially-motivated murder and cover-up. They’ve convinced the Justice Department to search for the “killer,” and with methods that subvert due process. It’s only fitting that Al Sharpton, a master of racial hoaxes, has left his mark.

The hash tag phrase “#Black Lives Matter” suddenly has become a meme among young blacks across the nation. Strictly speaking, it …

Will Rush to Judgment in Baltimore Lead to More Rioting?

sharpton rawlings-blakeIn Baltimore, the ashes have cooled; the curfew has ended; the National Guardsmen have left; and Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson have gone home.  But the apparent normalcy is misleading.  For the orgy of looting, vandalism and arson last week following the death of a black petty criminal, Freddie Gray, may return with a vengeance if the six arrested local police officers, three white and three black, are not convicted.  Gray died on April 19 of spinal injuries sustained a week earlier while in custody. Last Friday, State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby announced arrests for one count of second-degree murder and several counts of manslaughter, assault and misconduct.  Yet treating this case as a homicide, racially motivated or not, isn’t just premature.  It’s also a capitulation to mob rule.

It has become a familiar story over the past year.  A white police officer or group of officers encounters a black …

New Sharpton Book Coming February 15

Sharpton book coverTiming is everything. And in this 300+ page book titled Sharpton, A Demagogue’s Rise, longtime Sharpton watcher and critic Carl F. Horowitz could not be more timely.

The cold-blooded murder of two New York City police officers followed weeks of Sharpton’s vilification of law enforcement. The controversial minister and activist now finds himself front and center, a position he has always sought, but in a way he did not plan.

Horowitz not only explodes the myths about Sharpton by carefully documenting his past, but indicts a political culture that made possible his spectacular rise.

Horowitz is a staff director of the National Legal and Policy Center (NLPC), a group that has exposed political corruption since 1991. Through a series of NLPC-filed Complaints to the Federal Election Commission, Sharpton has been fined hundreds of thousands of dollars.

PR for the book’s released is being handled by LEVICK. Media inquiries may …
