Connecticut Postal Workers President Pleads Guilty to Thefts

postal-workers-logoOn January 11, Michael Martin, former president of American Postal Workers Union Local 3093, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut to embezzling $11,320.61 of mail by a postal employee and $8,880.78 in funds from the Norwalk-based union. The guilty plea follows a joint probe by the U.S. Labor Department’s Office of Labor-Management Standards and the U.S. Postal Service’s Office of Inspector General.
